What is Good2Give?
Good2Give’s purpose-built workplace giving platform that provides workplaces with an opportunity to actively give back to their community. Signing up for Good2Give allows employees to set up a regular pre-tax donation to the charity of their choice, as well as providing an opportunity for employers to match their donation.
Good2Give’s Mission:
“Good2Give has been distributing essential funding through our services to over 6,000 charitable organisations for nearly two decades. In the 2018-19 financial year we delivered $19.9 million to over 2,500 not-for-profits, with 99 per cent of every dollar received going directly to the not-for-profit.
We work with small community-based and grassroots organisations, large charities with household names, research institutes and organisations raising awareness for positive change.”
Why should I donate to PCACT through Good2Give?
Signing up to Good2Give will help us to achieve Palliative Care ACT’s mission to influence, foster and promote the delivery of quality end-of-life care for all. Your donation will help us deliver a variety of different services to those living with a life-limiting illness, their carers and families.
Leo’s Place: a home away from home providing overnight and day respite to those living with a life-limiting illness, as well as carer support and self-care activities.
Clare Holland House: our volunteers at Clare Holland House provide a broad range of services providing companionship and comfort to clients through assisting with transport, assisting at mealtimes, or just offering friendly companionship.
Home-based Care: Our home based volunteers provide support and companionship to people with life threatening illnesses in their homes. We also provide volunteers to Residential Aged Care Facilities and to the Canberra Hospital.
What are the benefits of Good2Give?
Your Choice
Good2Give allows you to customize the amount that you would like to deduct from your pay, no matter how large or small. Just $5 or $10 a month can have a great positive impact on PCACT’s ability to continue providing assistance to those living with a life-limiting illness in the Canberra Community.
Less Admin, More Tax Deductions
When you don’t donate through Good2Give, you’ll need to keep every receipt of every donation you make and record them as part of your tax return. When you donate through Good2Give, your donation is deducted by your employer from your pre-tax pay.
This means that your donations will automatically appear on your group certificate, and you will not be required to keep and record every receipt of every donation that you make as part of your tax return.
Additionally, when your donation is made directly from your pre-tax pay, we receive more of those funds than if you donate post-tax. This means more funds will go directly to our charity, all with minimum effort from you!
Employer Matching Program
Good2Give’s Employer Matching Program allows employers to match the donations of their employees. This joint effort will not only doubles the contributions given to PCACT, but is also an opportunity for employers to demonstrate corporate social responsibility, foster a positive work environment and increase employee morale. The Employer Matching Program provides employers and employees with the opportunity to collaborate and connect with the values of their company whilst making a positive difference in their community.
Over 60% of companies that engage with Good2Give match their employees’ donations, which has resulted in an additional $1.3 million in donations being donated directly to charities.
