National Attractions lit up in Red and Blue
National Palliative Care Week (NPCW) was held between 22 – 28 May 2022. During the week and in collaboration with Palliative Care Australia, the National Carillion, Old Parliament House, and John Gorton Building were lit up in red and blue to raise awareness and promote conversations about palliative care.

LGBTQIA+ Palliative Care Toolkit Launched
During NPCW Palliative Care ACT’s 4th Toolkit – LGBTQIA+ Palliative Care – A toolkit for carers and healthcare professionals was launched at an event at the Canberra Museum and Gallery. An electronic copy of this toolkit is available on Palliative Care ACT’s website here
Governor General and Mrs Hurley visit Leo’s Place
National Palliative Care Week finished with a visit from The Governor General and Mrs Hurley to our non-clinical respite home Leo’s Place. Guests and staff enjoyed a lovely morning tea and a singalong led by Mrs Hurley
