Margaret Corden Scholarship
Palliative Care ACT has been fortunate to receive a bequest from Margaret Corden, OAM.
Margaret was a volunteer with us and worked in the home-based program for several years before her passing. In recognition of Margaret's contribution to palliative care, and to acknowledge her generosity, Palliative Care ACT has established a scholarship fund with her bequest.
A scholarship from this fund is awarded annually to an individual, or a project, that advances knowledge and expertise in the area of palliative care.
This year there will be two lots of $5,000 scholarships that are intended for a person or persons who have a particular interest in palliative care. Preference will be given to projects that can demonstrate potential benefits for those who have a life limiting illness and their families.
The projects have to be complete within 12 months of the award of the scholarships.
The recipients of the scholarships are required to submit a written report to PC ACT within 12 months.
This year's applications are due by COB 31 August 2017 and projects are to be completed 31 August 2018.
