Clare Holland House

Clare Holland House is a hospice serving the ACT and the region. It is an inpatient palliative care unit where a specially trained team cares for people with a life-threatening illness. Clare Holland House is under the management of Little Company of Mary Healthcare and is fully funded by the ACT Government. 

Palliative Care ACT provides volunteers into Clare Holland House.  If you would like one of our volunteers to assist you or your family please advise the staff on admission.

Palliative Care ACT volunteers are on site from 7.30am each day and can provide you with the following:

  • hand and foot massages;
  • companionship;
  • read with you;
  • make a cuppa for you and the family;
  • write letters for you;
  • assist you with your meals;
  • provide conversation on a number of topics; and 
  • arrange and refresh your flowers.
