Volunteers Appreciation Dinner

 

It's National Volunteers Week (8 - 14 May).  The Annual Palliative Care ACT Volunteers Appreciation Dinner was held on Wednesday 10 May to celebrate the fantastic work our volunteers do.  

We wouldn't be able to get by without the assistance of our volunteers and the dinner is a great chance to get them all together and say thank you.

It was a lovely night with plenty of food, music and dancing (with one volunteer stating that they hadn't danced in 20 years).

We also heard from Nikki Johnson who is part of the team trialling a new proactive approach to providing specialist palliative care within residential aged care facilities. 

 Also thank you to the Canberra Southern Cross Club for providing the venue.  We appreciate their continued support.
